Backup your WordPress installation files and database.
Install and activate the Affiliates plugin
If you have not done so already, install and activate the Affiliates plugin. You can use Affiliates or Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise.
To install it automatically:
Log in on your site with your administrator account. From your Dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New,
input “Affiliates” (without the quotes) in the search field located besides the Search Plugins button, click
the button and locate the Affiliates plugin by itthinx in the results.
Click the Install Now link for that plugin and confirm that you want to install the plugin.
Once the plugin has been downloaded and installed, confirm that you want to activate it.
To install it manually:
You can also download the Affiliates plugin to install it manually. Visit
http://www.itthinx.com/plugins/affiliates and locate the download link.
Once you have downloaded the plugin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload and click the Browse…
button to select the plugin’s zip file and click on the Install Now button.
After you have installed the Affiliates plugin, proceed to activate it.
Install and activate the Affiliates2Mailchimp plugin
Add the new plugin you have received and activate it:
Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload and click the Browse… button to select the plugin’s zip file (normally under ‘plugin’ folder), usually affiliates2mailchimp-x.y.z.zip (x, y and z are the plugin’s current version numbers).
After that proceed to activate the plugin.

Create an account in newsletter service Mailchimp.
Create and get Mailchimp’s API Key. In your account menu, “Api Keys & Authorized Apps” submenu.
We must create a List and a Group, where the system will create the subgroups.
MailChimp is ready !, now we need setup the plugin.
If you have not done so already, install and activate the Affiliates2Mailchimp plugin. See Installation section.
Check the settings on the Affiliates -> Affiliates2Mailchimp page and adjust them.
The config fields:
API Key: The Api Key obtained.
List name: Mailchimp’s list. Is case sensitive.
Group name: Mailchimp’s group in the above list. Is case sensitive.
Subgroup name: Mailchimp’s subgroup in the above group. Is case sensitive.
Need confirm: Indicates whether Mailchimp is going to send the user a confirmation email. Abusing this may cause your mailchimp account to be suspended (you can be considered spam).
Synchronize button: Use it to create in Mailchimp subscribers (users) according your existing website users. Normally used when the web is already operating.
If you have received or downloaded an updated version of the Affiliates2Mailchimp plugin, follow these
instructions to update it:

Upgrade to the new release
Upgrading requires to replace the plugin.
To update, the plugin must be deactivated, deleted and the new release uploaded and activated. These
are the steps involved:
1. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins, click Deactivate on the Affiliates2Mailchimp plugin, then
click Delete to remove it.
2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload and click the Browse… button to select the new release’s
zip file, and click on the Install Now button. After it has been installed, activate the plugin.
Once the plugin is installed, enabled and configured, it begins to run.
When a new affiliate is created (manually or automatically), then Mailchimp create a new subscriber to the List / Groups / Subgroup setup.
When an affiliate is deleted, Mailchimp unsubscribe this user to the List / Groups / Subgroup setup.
When an affiliate is updated, Mailchimp’s subscriber is edited if exists, else subscribe this affiliate.
When you synchronize, all existing affiliates are subscribed in Mailchimp service, if they don’t exist.
This is used once at the beginning, then everything is automatic.
